January 2021
As we look back over the past twelve months, it's been an extremely challenging year for all of us. We really hope that everyone is keeping well and staying safe, and are praying that the vaccine is rolled out as quickly as possible so that we can all get back to some kind of normality.
As an 'essential' service, More Than Words will remain open during the current lockdown for those students who are not shielding. We continue to offer outreach services to those students who prefer not to attend but would like support to access the community, and to families of students who need help to collect shopping, prescriptions, etc. Our Zoom and FaceTime sessions are free for everyone to access online, and we will be offering more virtual sessions over the next few months.
Please be assured that for building-based services, the safety of everyone is our paramount concern. We have stringent health and safety procedures in place, all activities have been Covid risk assessed, staff wear PPE, and we have a strict cleaning and sanitising regime. We have worked closely with the local authority Health Protection Team and will continue to do so.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
