Our premises are still open!
A small number of our students are continuing to access our services from our building. It's a massive space, so it makes it easy to implement social distancing measures. Staff also have access to PPE.
We are also working closely with Wigan Council to provide a different kind of service during the lockdown for those students and families who are isolating, or who are choosing not to come into our building at this time. This includes:
providing 1:1 and 2:1 support in students' own homes;
using technology to bring the service to our students: we have daily Facebook Live sessions and Zoom meetings;
taking students for short walks;
having picnics, craft sessions and chats in the garden;
support students and families with shopping, picking up prescriptions, etc.
Lockdown log book
We've produced a 'Lockdown Log Book' for students to record their experiences during lockdown - you can read more about it in our current enewsletter. If you would like adding to our mailing list, please get in touch.
Sue was interviewed by 'The Leaders Council of Great Britain and Northern Ireland' on 6 May! The Leaders Council is a network of the most influential figures from across the country.
